At Bouncing Bulldogs, we offer a variety of classes tailored to different ages and skill levels. Whether you’re taking your first jump or looking to refine advanced techniques, our experienced coaches provide a supportive and fun learning environment. Here’s a closer look at what you can expect in each of our class types:

Beginner Jumpers (Ages 6-15)

What to Expect:

This class is all about fun and fitness! It’s the perfect starting point for anyone new to jump rope. You’ll learn the fundamental skills in a relaxed and encouraging atmosphere.

What You’ll Learn:

  • Basic single rope jumping techniques.
  • Introduction to Double Dutch jumping.
  • Learning the basics of long rope jumping.
  • Developing coordination and timing.
  • Fun games and activities to build confidence.

No prior jump rope experience is necessary to join this class.

Intermediate Jumpers (Ages 6-15)

What to Expect:

If you’ve mastered the basics or have some jump rope experience, this class will help you build upon those skills. We’ll introduce more challenging techniques and start working on group coordination.

What You’ll Learn:

  • Building on single rope and long rope skills.
  • Introduction to precision group routines.
  • Improving footwork and agility.
  • Developing teamwork and synchronization.

Prerequisite:

Completion of at least two sessions of Beginner Jumpers or coach’s approval.

Prep to Perform (Ages 6-15)

What to Expect:

For those who have a desire to showcase their jump rope skills, this class focuses on developing routines and showmanship. While there are no mandatory performance requirements, this class is ideal for those who aspire to perform at public events.

What You’ll Learn:

  • Refining single rope and long rope skills for performance.
  • Learning precision routines.
  • Developing showmanship and presentation skills.
  • Building confidence in performing in front of others.

Prerequisite:

Completion of at least two sessions of Intermediate Jumpers or coach’s approval.

Middle/High School Jumpers (Ages 11-18)

What to Expect:

This beginner-level class is specifically designed for older students. It’s a great way to have fun, get fit, and learn the fundamentals of jump rope in a supportive environment with peers.

What You’ll Learn:

  • Basic single rope jumping techniques.
  • Introduction to Double Dutch jumping.
  • Learning the basics of long rope jumping.
  • Improving coordination and fitness.

No prior jump rope experience is necessary to join this class.

Spring 2026 Classes

The Bouncing Bulldogs jump rope camp offers youth of all ages an opportunity to develop various skills to include, but not limited to leadership, communication, motor and jump rope specific. No previous jump rope experience is required to participate in this non-competitive, unique physical activity. Campers are evaluated and placed into developmentally appropriate skill groups.

Monthly Thursday Classes

Class hour: 4-5pm

Monthly Saturday Classes

Class hour: 10-11am
